Product Description

Kartikeya’s Peacock is part of my vahana series.  Each Hindu deity has an animal mount that they are associated with, called a vahana.  Kartikeya, the son of Shiva and Parvati, rides a peacock.   Kartikeya is usually depicted as a young boy warrior.  He is most beloved by the Tamil people of south India and goes by other names such as Kumara, Skanda, Subramanya, and Murugan.   This piece was created to hang on the wall and was made from sheet metal steel that was  colored with translucent solvent dye.

Measures 4 ft 6 inches tall x 3 ft 10 inches wide x 13 inches deep.
