This series of 9 sculptures was created in honor of the Hindu Holiday of Navratri, the nine night celebration of 9 different incarnations of the goddess Durga.
On this 9th and final night of Navratri we give thanks and praise to Maa Siddhidatri, the bestower of siddhis, special powers and supreme spiritual knowledge. She grants devotees the ultimate realization that everything that exists is One and removes the delusion of separateness from the divine source. In her four arms she holds a mace, discus, conch shell, and lotus. Jai Ma!
