Product Description

Shailputri Ma worshipped on the first night of Navratri. This series of 9 sculptures was created in honor of the Hindu Holiday of Navratri, the night night celebration of 9 different incarnations of the goddess Durga.

On this first night of Navratri we honor Shailputri Ma (Parvati) the Devi of the root Chakra who rides Shiva’s bull Nandi and holds Shiva’s trident in one hand and a lotus in the other, with the cresent moon on her forehead. For yogis, Her journey on Nandi represents the awakening Shakti energy up the spine from the Muladhara Chakra.
